Dr Robin Sechrest-Lang
Robin grew up in a small country town in Missouri and moved to Portland Oregon as a teenager. With this diverse upbringing Robin has a wide range of interests from white water rafting and camping to fine dining and dancing. Living on a farm and taking in all the stray animals is what sparked Robin’s interest in veterinary medicine and has been her dream career since the age of six. While obtaining her bachelor in animal science from Oregon State University (2002-2006) she worked in a feline only practice sparking a strong interest in feline medicine. Robin attended Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine from 2006 through 2010. During that time she served as the president of the student chapter of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and started a free clinic called the Feline Wellness Day which continued many years after its conception in 2008. She has a strong desire to reduce the stray and feral cat populations and has worked with the Feral Cat Coalition, a mobile spay and neuter clinic to help obtain that goal. Robin worked for a feline practice in Portland,OR for 2.5 years under a board certified feline specialist.
In 2014 Robin married her eHarmony sweetheart and moved to Vancouver, Washington, where they started a family that has grown to include two beautiful children. There are also two fur babies. One very spoiled, toy fetching kitty, Roo, and one hunting, goof ball dog, Belle.
In 2018 the family moved to New Braunfels, Texas. This is where they want to raise their children and build a strong community relationship.
Dr Lang is very excited to join the family here at Comal Pet Hospital. She is always committed to quality care of her patients and the development of personal relationships with her clients.
